Ethical, Legal and the 'Small Print'

Before your first session with me:
Please print out the downloadable client questionnaire (click on the icon next to this paragraph) and complete it prior to your first session with me. It would be ideal if you could email me the completed questionnaire before our first session, as it is important to have this information handy at our first case taking. Alternatively, I can email you a WORD doc version of it, so you can fill it in online and email it to me.

Cancellations:
Please give a minimum of 2 days notice for a cancellation or to re-arrange your appointment. I am happy to change a short notice cancellation for an in-person session into a distant healing, so you get the benefit of the healing in despite not being able to attend.
Cancellations 48 to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment are charged at 50% of the applicable fee, 24 hours or less carry a full cancellation fee. If I am able to fill your slot with another booking at the same venue, no fee will be charged.

Frequency of Sessions for 1 to 1 work:
I work in different ways with different clients: with some, a short burst of 3-5 goal orientated coaching-style sessions is all they need to work their way through a particular issue which blocks their happiness or progress in life. With others, I may work on a longer term basis, helping them unveil layer after layer of issues, becoming a true companion on their journey of healing and spiritual development. Because each client is different, I do not require a commitment for a minimum number of sessions - the client is always in control of how much work they are ready and able to do. In long term work, the client and I periodically review the progress and direction of our work together. In some cases, an issue can even be resolved, in a miracle-like way, in just one session, so I never assume that a client wishes to come back. I will therefore simply ask whether you would like to book again at the end of each session and you are completely entitled to say no.

Emergencies:
Whilst I do my best to make myself available at short notice for existing clients in an emergency, I many not be able to answer the phone or emails out of hours or immediately at all times. Please do refer to the following organisations if you find yourself in a spiritual emergency or in acute emotional or mental crisis:

Membership in Professional Bodies and Ethical Standards:
I am a member of the British Complementary Medical Association (BCMA), EFT International (EFTi, formerly AAMET) and the UK Reiki Federation. I abide by the Codes of Ethics issued by all these professional bodies and participate in regular supervision. I keep up to date in my practice through continuous commitment to personal and professional development.
